‘Flooding at Stockbridge, Keighley October 30th 2000: A case Study of Response and Recovery’

At 5.00 am in the morning of 30th October 2000 the Stockbridge neighbourhood of Keighley was flooded by the River Aire. Stockbridge is a poor, ethnically mixed community. This paper describes how one person led a brilliant flood response and recovery programme by getting very angry residents and key stakeholders in the room together.
